A renowned poet and artist born in Trivandrum, Kerala State, India. He graduated from the University of Kerala, with History as his main subject and did his Post Graduation in Malayalam Language and Literature. He studied art in Academic Arts Society, Trivandrum. He was a Freelance Journalist for some time. Edited “Malayala Sandesam” a rural daily and magazine, for five years. Then he started an Institute for painting, “Green Bird”. Now working in “Deshabhimani Daily”.
His first collection of poems appeared in 1984. Versified the classical Indian tale, “Panchatantram” in Malayalam in an independent style. Participated in the work of “Sabdasagaram”, a huge dictionary published by D.C. Books. Translated the great Sanskrit epic “Kumarasambhavam” in prose. Other famous poetic works are “Radhamadhavam”, “Dasharadham”, “Viyogam”, “Pranayakurippukal”, “Marangalil Manjin Puthappukal”, “Kannadimurikal”, “Thirichuvech Chitram”, “Gramathile Cheetukali Sangham”, “Nissahayanaya Manushyan”, “Mochanayudham” etc.
